She (Dr. Kathy Shao) tried to sell my wife acupuncture while partially sedated. This was apparently for "anxiety " but I find it rather dubious selling an additional alternative service while not fully cognizant. She ended up getting over 10 fillings and 2 crowns over three visits. 2 of the fillings fell out. The 2nd opinion believes "no bonding agent" was used. Lastly, a 4 hour procedure took 8 hours as the dentist would leave mid procedure to handle another patient. I would not trust this dentist for anything beyond minor procedures.

I walked in expecting to get a cleaning. They explained that they had to do X-rays first and then can proceed with the cleaning. They did 16 X-rays (which was not discussed) then the dentist looked in my mouth with a mirror and said she wanted the hygienist to do my cleaning because “I have periodontal disease” so they referred me out. So they literally did nothing but put a mirror in mouth but then still proceeded to charge me way to much money. I called the dentist and told them I didn’t agree with the charges they said that they did X-rays and a full exam so the charges are correct. I told them I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company and writing this review. Needless to say I will not be going back to Grogan mills dental and will be getting a second opinion else where.

I honestly can’t say enough about my dentist! She’s truly one of a kind. She’s not just amazing at what she does, she’s also the sweetest, most caring person. Every time I go in, she makes me feel comfortable and at ease, like I’m in the best hands. She’s gentle, kind, and has such a calming presence, it honestly feels like she’s an angel. I’m so grateful to have found her and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

I hate the dentist so much which in turn is the reason I neglected my upper molars after they were impacted by my wisdom teeth. I was in so much pain and had a huge infection I needed my wisdom tooth and a molar extracted that day and it was so infected i felt like no dentist would touch it BUT Dr. Shao is a freaking angel 👼 she is such a kind presence and didn’t make me feel bad for not going to the dentist in almost 2 years and helped me get my extractions done that day with no pain and her staff is also amazing too. Everyone was very professional and nice. Dr Shao is going to do a few fillings I need and talked to me and made a whole plan on how we’re going to get my mouth back in good shape without making me feel overwhelmed. The dentist is a necessary evil but she made it as pleasant as it could possibly be. I will not go to another dentist again lol. #clientforlife #shaoslays Also she’s really pretty too! If you want a gorgeous comforting profession and very very good dentist go here! 10/10 Would reccomend to everyone who needs a dentist

Dr Kathy and her team are by far my best experience with dentists in general. They are attentive, professional and do an excellent job at explaining everything in a way I can actually understand. I highly recommend them!
